Excited to finally meet your Filipina love one? I can imagine. But do you already have plans on where you will spend your entire stay in the Philippines?

If not yet, I have my (personal) list of the best romantic places in Philippines. These are the places I have already visited and based from my experience, they are perfect for spending your romantic getaway with your Filipina date.

Baguio

One thing you should know about Philippines is the “hot” weather. Since Philippines is a tropical country, the climate is “hot” even when it’s not summer. So if you don’t like the idea of spending the day feeling uneasy because of the heat, then you may want to go to Baguio.

Baguio is considered to be the “summer capital of the Philippines”. This is so because the place bears the coolest weather within the country. Of course, besides the cool weather, Baguio is considered to be one of the romantic places in the Philippines because of the many great places to hang around and chill out.

There is the Burnham Park, Mines View Park, Botanical Garden, and also the Teacher’s Camp to name a few. You can go around in these places with your Filipina date and just quietly spend time enjoying the view and talking endlessly. You will surely have plenty of time knowing your Filipina love one while you spend the day in one of these parks.

 

 

 

Tagaytay

Manila may be one of the most familiar places you know in the Philippines. Since Baguio is a bit far from Manila (about 8 hours of travel by land), you may opt for a nearer place within Manila.

Tagaytay is probably one of the romantic places in Philippines which is just 2 hours travel time from Manila. Just like Baguio, Tagaytay is a “cooler” place as compared to other places in the Philippines. There are also parks you can enjoy and do several activities too. The Picnic Groove Park is one perfect place to date your Filipina. It also has a lot of fun-filled activities like cable car, zip line, and horseback riding.

 

 

Boracay

On the other hand, if you are more of a “summer” or “beach” person, you can pick a lot of good places to spend your vacation with your Filipina love one. However, if you really want your getaway to be very romantic, then Boracay is the perfect romantic place in Philippines.

What’s the reason: What else but the white, beautiful sands of Boracay. You can take a dip and choose from the many tourists resorts in the island. From Manila airport, you can take a one and a half hour trip to Boracay Island.

Additionally, if you have a strong attitude, Filipinos will see you as arrogant. Someone who is insensitive to people’s feelings. In this case, you must be as chivalrous as possible. Try to be the gentleman for her like opening the door for her or giving her the chair to sit in. By doing these acts, this will help you move one step forward in your relationship.

Additionally, you should be aware that most Filipino girls are reserved. So when it comes to planning out your date. Just keep this simple as possible. A simple but romantic date in a hilltop restaurant with an overview of the city is a great plan.  Invite her to bring one friend or family member and hope that she respects your wishes and brings exactly one, not a whole jeepney full.

Last but not the least, if you want to impress your Filipina date, you should never be late. As much as possible, you should be there in your meeting place before she arrives. This act will make a lasting impression to your beloved Filipina. In case you get caught up with something that you know you will be late, inform her ahead so she knows.

After posting about Filipinas’ dating scam trend online, Rachel asked me about how to gain their date’s trust. Clearly, some Filipinas who are truly searching for their better half online are also affected by the trending scam in online dating.

Gaining one’s trust is hard and in online dating scene, this is doubly hard since “presence” plays a very crucial role in acquiring someone’s trust. On the other hand, nothing is impossible. Trust is something you gain in time. It takes time to make someone trust you.

With regards to online dating, you should just enjoy the time spent with whom you meet online. Always be positive but do make high expectations. Understand that some foreign men are hesitant to get serious with a Filipina since there have been a lot of scam cases already reported. If you ever meet someone who thought you are a scam, just speak straight to him that you are not like the other Filipinas who are after their money. You may as well post updated pictures of you. You can even invite him to view your webcam.

Showing who you are and proving that your profile pictures match with who’s behind that webcam is an initial start to gain the trust of your online date.  After some time, your online date will feel comfortable with you. Be honest all the time. Sometimes it is in the way you tell things that you also gain other’s trust.

Finally, you do not need to prove that you are not a scam. All you got to do is to show who you really are in the first place. Dating can be fun but it also can be tough, especially when things are not going right in the first place. Well for starters, you have to have a low expectation and just be who you are. Sometimes, it is good to read stuff and tips about dating. But then again, some tips can just make you nervous. Having fun does not necessarily mean be expensive also. You have to think out of the box and be creative. For first dates, casual dating like watching a movie or just hanging out on a café is best suggested. First dates do not have to be very formal.  Remember that the essence of first dates is to get to know the other person well and you need a quiet, romantic and informal place in order to do this successfully.

Make sure that when it comes to conversations, you need to establish a two-way communication. At most times, Philippine single women talk a little too much that they have not noticed that their date wanted to say something too. Avoid taking about yourself more but instead listen also to what your date wants to say. It best that you have prepared a set of questions that would spark two-way conversation such as interesting places that you went out to, bad day moments and the likes.

2. Intramuros- If your type is kind of a rustic and very intriguing place, you can always visit the Intramuros. This is one of the historical places placed in the heart of Manila.
